DESCRIPTION:In 2011\, we received a generous donation from Michael Thompson (Sound guru for our friends in Skid Row) of an autographed and framed Mohammed Ali vs. Joe Fraizer “Fight of the Century” picture. With donations of this caliber\, Acoustics for Autism 2010 was able to rake in our highest dollar amount to date of over $17\,000. DESCRIPTION:In 2010\, after utilizing our volunteers so much in the prior years\, Project iAm became more selective in events to which we lent our name and help. Our third annual Acoustics for Autism expanded to the vacant funiture store next to The Village Idiot for our Silent Auction and new second music venue. This primarily became our “kid area” and showcased various teenage acts in addition to our other loyal musicians. Having the extra space that this event so dearly needed\, we were able to have our biggest numbers in attendance to date! \nAcoustics for Autism 2010 Gallery \nMichael Glabicki again phoned Project iAm and we had another successful event at The Village Idiot in October\, this time bringing his drummer\, Preach Freedom\, and guitar player/percussionist Colter Harper with him. \nMichael Glabicki 2010 Gallery \nTrey McLaughlin sitting in with Arctic Clam for his Skid Row debut!

SUMMARY:Plugged in! 2009 video: Skid Row!
DESCRIPTION:On September 19\, 2009\, Project iAm hosted its first rock concert at the Erie Street Market. The day consisted of acoustic acts including\, Kyle White\, Dave Carpenter and the Jaglers\, Empire Drift\, and Arctic Clam. The night was capped off with none other than Skid Row. This successful event brought over 700 people out on a Sunday supporting a great cause. We also held an iMazing Race for Autism which raised nearly $5000. \nVideo Center\n\n\nOur VIP winner Trey being brought on stage by Snake \nBig Henry\, Trey\, Nicole\, and Griz at Luckies Barn and Grill\n\n\n\nCongrats to our favorite new rocker\, Trey McLaughlin for winning the VIP contest! \nImage Gallery\nClick here to view images!

SUMMARY:1st Annual – Acoustics for Autism Event
DESCRIPTION:Sometime in the Fall of 2007\, over some much needed cocktails at Doc Watson’s\, Nicole Khoury and Dave Carpenter talked over how cool the name “Acoustics for Autism” was for a musical benefit. It was left at that. \nIn January of 2008\, Nicole brought the idea to life and began planning what was supposed to be a small benefit for a cause that was dear to her heart. Seeing the struggles of close friends with the financial burdens of having a child with Autism\, Acoustics for Autism was born. \nOn March 9\, 2008\, an overwhelming crowd showed up to The Village Idiot in Maumee\, Ohio for the premier event of Project iAm. This first benefit raised nearly $10\,000. Project iAm donated all of the funds to the various providers that helped make the event possible and was allowed to designate funds to children specifically so their families could get them the treatment they needed for this disorder.
